The Sigra cyclonic separator separates gas from liquids which contains fines. It is ideally suited to use in gas wells that produce liquids and sand. Its cyclonic action ensures high levels of separation between liquids and gases.
The cyclone contains a float that controls two valves. The lower valve prevents outflow unless there is liquid in the vessel and the upper valve closes when there is a high level of liquid in the vessel. The device therefore prevents liquid from going out of the gas line and gas from escaping into the liquid line. The separator’s cyclonic action is used to rotate the float which turns the valve and an auger so that any fines are dislodged and prevented from jamming the liquid outlet. The separator is available in a range of sizes to suit various flows and pressures.
