Other Tests

A number of the tests presented here have been developed by Sigra because there were no suitable tests. These include the Cyclic Uniaxial, Simple Shear, Triaxial Elastic, Hydrostatic and Transverse Tensile tests. Other test processes have been modified to suit the rock type, notably the GOST Shear test which is modified to shear across bedding planes of sedimentary material. Sigra can develop other tests to suit needs. One that we have developed but is infrequently used is to measure creep in potash cores at temperature.
