Sigra manufactures, sells and uses its own annular blow out preventers in coal mining and coal seam gas applications.
Because of the totally unsuitable nature of standard oil field drilling industry well control nomenclature, units and to some degree the procedures in this industry, Sigra has developed its own course for well control in this environment. This is based on consistent MKS units. The prime indicator of unstable well conditions that may lead to a blow out is the difference between the pressure in the well bore and that in the formation at all depths.
The course deals with both open hole drilling and coring applications.
